Sat, March 21 (10:00–6:00) and Sun, March 22 (1:00–5:00), the Meredith College Fashion Association will be hosting a Prom Dress Giveaway @ North Hills Mall (next to the Embroidery Shop). If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Ellis at or 919-760-8412.

Attention Rising 9th Graders

Do you want to be part of a nationally recognized IT academy? If you are assigned to attend Apex High School next year you can be part of the Academy of Information Technology. Academy students learn technical skills like computer programming, web development and video production. As an academy student you will also learn teamwork, communication and presentation skills and have fun doing it. The time period to apply to the academy will start the week of February 2nd. Stop Rx Abuse Video Contest

For the fourth year in a row the North Carolina Department of Justice is sponsoring a student video contest to help educate young people about the dangers of prescription drug abuse. All North Carolina students enrolled in grades 6 - 12 are eligible to enter the contest, which runs from March 1st through April 15th. Details about contest entry can be found here.

Senior Mid Year Transcript Requests

If you are a senior and you are required to send a mid-year transcript to a college/university you have applied to, please follow the following procedures:

  1. If the college/university is in-state (NC), send the transcript yourself through CFNC
  2. If the college/university uses the "Common App" or "Send Edu", then email your Counselor and ask them to send the transcript out at this time
  3. If the college/university is out of state and does not use the "Common App" or "Send Edu", then go to Student Services and sign on the Transcript Book for your request
